University of Dhaka Law triumphs at BIAC International Arbitration Competition 2023

The University of Dhaka team, comprised of six final year undergraduate law students, became champion at the prestigious BIAC International Arbitration Competition 2023. The team, comprised of bright and dedicated students of the Department of Law, has emerged victorious after a series of challenging rounds against esteemed universities worldwide.

The winning team members are Mohammad Foysal, Tasmim Jahan Neeha, Abdul Awal, Zarin Tasnim, Rochita Hoque, and Nurun Nahar Urmi. Professor Dr. Jamila Ahmed Chowdhury was the coach of the team. Through meticulous preparation, strong legal arguments, and impressive advocacy skills, the University of Dhaka team outshined their competitors, ultimately defeating the School of Law of Kathmandu University of Nepal in the final round.

DU Law has clinched the championship for the third time in a row. Previously the title was won by the University of Dhaka in 2020 and 2021. This remarkable achievement not only reflects the exceptional talent of the students but also highlights the dedication of the Department of Law, University of Dhaka, in fostering a culture of academic excellence.
