A Dhaka court today placed three accused on a four-day remand each in a case filed over the killing of trader Md Shahinuddin in front of his seven-year-old son in the city's Pallabi area on May 16.

The accused are Mohammad Titu (30), Iqbal Noor (21) and Mohammad Sharif (20).

Metropolitan Magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mondol passed the order after Syed Iftekhar Hossain, an inspector of Detective Branch of Police and also the investigation officer of the case, produced them before the court with a 10-day remand prayer.

In today's remand prayer, the IO said Titu is an FIR-named accused and he was involved with the incident while the names of Noor and Sharif were found in the investigation. So, they need to be remanded to know the whereabouts of others responsible, the IO added.

No lawyers were present in the court to defend them.

Yesterday, Mohamnad Murad and Rony Talukder gave confessional statements before a Dhaka magistrate.
