Defending Asia Cup Champion Sri Lanka won by 9 wickets against Netherlands during a World T20 match at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong this evening.

Netherlands went all out scoring only 39 runs, the lowest score in T20 international history.

Lankans in reply, reached the mark by the end of the fifth over losing only one wicket.

Seamer Angelo Mathews got the Man of the Match award for his 16/3 bowling performance.

Earlier, Lankan skipper Dinesh Chandimal won the toss and send the Dutch to bat first.

Sri Lankan bowlers -- Mathews and spinner Ajantha Mendis picked up 3 wickets each while Lasith Malinga picked 2, all with penny-pinching economy rates.

Dutch batsman Tom Cooper scored the highest run (16) for his team.
