Khandaker Mosharraf denied bail again

Khandaker Mosharraf denied bail again

The High Court yesterday again denied BNP leader Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain bail in a money laundering case.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case accusing the former health minister of siphoning off over Tk 9.53 crore to the United Kingdom. The court had dropped the bail petition from its hearing list yesterday.
Mosharraf is undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, but he should not be granted bail on health grounds as there are serious allegations of money laundering against him, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam and ACC counsel Khurshid Alam Khan, who were opposing the bail petition, told the court.
The HC previously denied the BNP leader bail in the case on April 27.
