BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia today said the BNP-led 20-party alliance has the support of ninety-five percent people who are united and ready to save the country from the hands of Sheikh Hasina’s “repressive and killer government.”

“The country is in grave crisis at present and people are united to get rid of the situation. We all have to play strong role to oust the government after Eid,” the BNP chief said at an Iftar program at a city hotel.

Jamaat-e-Islami organised the Iftar in honour of politicians, journalists and leaders of different professional bodies.

In her brief speech Khaleda, also chief of 20-party alliance said people are being killed every day in the hands of members of law enforcing agencies and ruling party cadres.

“Law enforcing agencies have been turned into killer force. Rapid Action Battalion members are killing people on hire. We all have to get united irrespective of our political identity and opinion to save the country.”

Khaleda added that the 20-party alliance will announce tougher program after the Eid-ul-Fitr to oust the Hasina administration.

Portraying a sorry state of the country, Khaleda said poverty level is increasing every day and youths are not getting jobs.

Top leaders of 20-party alliance and pro-BNP professional bodies and journalist leaders are present at the Iftar programme.
