Jubo League man stabbed dead in Patuakhali

A local Jubo League leader was stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants in Patuakhali Sadar upazila this evening.
Nasir Hawlader, also a member of Motherbunia Union Parishad, came under the attack at Boshak bazar around 6:00pm, SM Ziaul Haque, officer-in-charge of Patuakhali Police Station, told The Daily Star.
The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained yet, the OC said.
“Three men riding a motorcycle intercepted Nasir’s rickshaw. They stabbed him on his chest and fled away,” the police officer added.
Later, locals rescued Nasir in critical condition and rushed to Patuakhali General Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
