Jubo League leader injured in gun attack

A local leader of the ruling Awami League's youth front Jubo League sustained injuries in a gun attack by a gang at Rajarhat in the district town on Sunday night.
The injured was identified as Alamgir Hossain, general secretary of Sadar upazila unit Jubo League.
The victim's brother Mohit said, Alamgir came under the attack by a group of rivals while he was at his shop in the area at about 9:00pm.
The attackers fired bullets in the belly, chest and throat of Alamgir leaving him critically injured.
Alamgir was first taken to Jessore Medical College Hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated.
The reason behind the attack could not be known immediately.
Reshma Sharmin, assistant superintendent of police, confirmed the incident.
