The Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinations for class eight students will begin on November 2 this year according to a routine published by the Dhaka Education Board.
The JSC was introduced in 2010 in replacement of the junior scholarship exams or class final exams. The examination is scheduled to end on November 18.
The schedule is available on the board’s website at www.dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd. All exams will be held from 10:00am to 1:00pm with a day’s gap except for the holidays, according to the schedule.
The examinees will take Bangla First Paper exams on the first day.

The routine for this year's Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinations for class eight students.

Last year, the tests were supposed to start from November 4, but were rescheduled to November 7 due to countrywide general strikes called by the BNP-led alliance.
More than 15 lakh students under eight education boards across the country sat for the last year’s exams and of them 13.89 lakh examinees came out successful.
The authorities of the Madrasa Education Board are yet to announce the routines of Junior Dakhil Examination, which are held along with the JSC exams.
