Bangladesh Hindu, Buddhist and Christian Oikya Parishad leaders today once again urged the political parties not to give nomination for the upcoming national election to anyone who earlier had involvement in repression of minority communities.

“If any such candidate is nominated for the election, minority communities of that constituency will refrain from casting their votes,” said Advocate Rana Dasgupta, general secretary of the Parishad.

He said this at a press conference organised by the Parishad at the Jatiya Press Club.

The Parishad has also opened a helpline to collect information on repression of minority communities across the country.
