JS body wants rural working women’s dorms

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Women and Children Affairs Ministry yesterday recommended setting up hostels for working women on Khas land or donated land in each upazila and district in the country.

The committee came up with the recommendations at its 9th meeting, held at Jatiya Sangsad with its chairman Rebecca Momin in the chair.

Committee members Serajul Akbar, Mahbub Ara Begum Gini, Nasreen Jahan Ratna and Monowara Begum attended the meeting.

Besides, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Ministry suggested the government to appoint specialist doctors immediately to fill the vacant posts in the hospitals of the CHT region.
