The annual development programme of 1970-71 is evaluated in a meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) held in Rawalpindi. President General Yahya Khan chaired the meeting. Central ministers and provincial governors present in Rawalpindi, president’s principal staff officer, lieutenant general SGMM Pirzada and Economic Affairs Adviser MM Ahmad and deputy chairman of planning commission NG Sufi. The meeting went on for about three hours.
