Independent lawmaker Mojibur Rahman Chowdhury today walked out of the House demanding arrest of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia for giving directives to burn and kill innocent people.
Taking the floor in the Jatiya Sangsad to raise a supplementary question during question-answer hour, he accused Khaleda for burning and killing people in the name of blockade and hartal across the country.
While the independent lawmaker was walking out of the parliament, State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan told the House that the government is taking legal steps against Khaleda Zia according to the legal procedure.
Responding to another question from Jatiya Party member Peer Fazlur Rahman, the state minister informed the Jatiya Sangsad that the prime minister always gives financial support to poor people from her fund.
"If any blockade and hartal violence victim seeks financial help, then the prime minister would give support," Asaduzzaman said.
