Humayun's play on Pahela Boishakh

Humayun Ahmed won millions of hearts with his literary talent. He was the writer of many popular novels and story books. “Gopon Kotha” is one of them. Directed by Meher Afroz Shaon, wife of the noted litterateur, the shooting of a one-hour play, based on “Gopon Kotha”, wrapped up recently. It was shot at different locations in Uttara, Jhikatola and New Market. Mohammad Ibrahim is the assistant director of the TV play, featuring Shamim Shahed, Rawnak Hasan, Sohel Khan, Sporshia and others. According to the director, the play's central figure is a boy who arranges a grand celebration on his birthday to give voice to his secret feelings for a girl. The play will be aired on Channel i on Pahela Boishakh.
