Her name is Amina. She was a little camera shy. Amina earns around BDT 1.5-6 (USD 0.085) a day, collecting firewood. She scavenges along the banks of Kaptai Lake -- a distance of one and a half mile -- numerous times every day.
Both her parents are day labourers. With rising prices, the three of them can barely meet their ends meet and their shed is falling apart. Despite all these difficulties, Amina does not show signs of frailty; her existence gleams as a silent protest against a system that has failed citizens like her.
