Hearing on charge framing postponed

Hearing on charge framing against Hefajat-e Islam nayeb-e-ameer Mufti Izharul Islam Chowdhury, his son and three others in a murder case has been postponed till September 24 as one of the accused was not produced before the court yesterday.
The accused, Md Ishaque, who is on bail in the case, is in jail in another case and could not be produced before the court, said additional public prosecutor Md Noman Chowdhury.
On October 7 last year, three people were killed in an explosion that took place in a madrasa run by Mufti Izharul. Following the incident, police recovered grenades and a large number of bomb making materials from the madrasa.
