Dengue fever: 5 more die, 873 hospitalised in 24hrs

At least five dengue patients died while 873 others were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours till this morning (October 31, 2022).

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with the new cases the total number of dengue patients rose to 38,024 of which 12,080 are from outside of Dhaka.

With the new deaths, a total of 141 people died from dengue fever this year.

Of the death cases, 84 were in Dhaka, 23 in Cox's Bazar, 14 in Chattogram, six in Khulna, five in Barishal, four in Mymensingh, and one each in Narsingdi, Pabna, Narail, Bogura, Kishoreganj, Madaripur, and Feni.

A total of 34,299 patients have already been released of them 10,676 are from outside the capital.

Some 3,584 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment of which 1,275 are from outside of Dhaka.
