Dengue: 3 die, 477 hospitalised in 24 hours

At least three dengue patients died while 477 others were admitted to different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours till this morning.

With the new deaths, the total number of deaths rose to 240 while total number of cases rose to 54,805, of which 19,517 from outside Dhaka, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of the death cases, 145 are in Dhaka, 25 in Cox's Bazar, 31 in Chattogram, 11 in Barishal, seven in Khulna, six in Mymensingh, five in Rajshahi, two Narail and one each in Narsingdi, Kushtia, Pabna, Bagerhat, Khagrachhari, Bogura, Madaripur and Feni.

A total of 52,083 patients have already been released, 18,515 are from outside Dhaka.

Some 2,082 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment, of which 907 are from outside Dhaka.
