Sylhet division sees highest number of coronavirus cases in a day

Sylhet division has recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases in a day after 215 people tested positive in four districts of the division in 24 hours till this morning.

According to the daily report of the office of the Divisional Director (Health) in Sylhet, 345 covid-19 positive patients are undergoing treatment at different hospitals in the district.

The report signed by Divisional Director Dr Razia Sultana also said that two persons died of coronavirus in 24 hours and 82 people recovered.

So far 1,7409 people tested positive for coronavirus in the district to date while 393 people died with the second-highest death toll of seven reported on Thursday.

A total of 657 persons were tested for Covid-19 yesterday and the infection rate is 32.72 percent.
