Narayanganj-2 MP Nazrul Islam tests positive for Covid-19

Md Nazrul Islam Babu, lawmaker from the Narayanganj-2 constituency, has tested positive for the coronavirus.

His sample was collected on Saturday and the test result came positive yesterday, said his wife Dr Saima Afroz Eva, reports our Narayanganj correspondent.

"As the parliament is in session, all the members as per the rules, have to undergo Covid-19 test regularly before joining. As part of that, he gave samples for the Covid-19 test on Saturday, said Saima.

"MP (Nazrul Islam Babu) is at home quarantine in Dhaka as per doctor's advice. He is doing well. Pray for him," she added.
