Moderna vaccine to be administered in 12 city corporation areas from July 13

The government will start administering Moderna Covid-19 vaccine from Tuesday (July 13) in 12 city corporation areas and Chinese Sinopharm vaccine across the country from tomorrow.

Issuing a press releases, Directorate General of Health Services said the Pfizer vaccine is being administered at seven centres in Dhaka for migrant workers.

It also said expatriates can take Moderna vaccine from centres in city corporation areas from Tuesday and they don't need to come to Dhaka for the jab.

General people can also take the Moderna jab in those city corporation areas, it said.

Shamsul Haque, line director of DGHS, said those who took the first jab of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine will have to wait few more days. "The Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine is likely to arrive in the country by this month or next month."
