Covid death reported after a month

The authorities recorded one coronavirus death and 16 fresh cases in the preceding 24 hours till 8:00am yesterday.

The last coronavirus death was recorded on April 20 in the country.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reached 1,953,204 and the death toll at 29,128, reported the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

More than 97 percent of all confirmed cases have recovered, including 172 in those 24 hours yesterday.

The daily test positivity rate slightly decreased to 0.41 percent from Friday's 0.79 percent as 3,927 samples were tested.

On Thursday, 50 cases were reported with no death.

The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.49 percent. The recovery rate remained unchanged at 97.31 percent as 172 patients recovered during this period.
