Second dose: Daylong special vaccination campaign begins

A special campaign to administer the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine to over 66 lakh people -- aged 25 and above -- started across the country this morning.

The drive began at 9:00am and will continue till 3pm.

Those who received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine on September 28, in a special campaign marking Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's birthday, will receive the second dose today.

Vaccination centres have been set up at the union level in rural areas and at wards in municipality areas.

On the first day of the special campaign last month, a total of 66,25,123 people received their first jabs, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) data.
