The government is considering a "no vaccine, no service" campaign at all public offices to encourage people to get vaccinated, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said today after an inter-ministerial meeting.

The health ministry also suggested that the ministries concerned take steps to discourage travel from African countries to Bangladesh, he said.

The health minister urged all to refrain from public gatherings, including for political, social and religious events.

The meeting was held for about two hours at the Secretariat.
