Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today reaffirmed her government's stance to ensure Covid-19 vaccine doses for all.

"Whatever money is needed, whatever number of vaccines required, we'll procure them," she said.

The prime minister said this while inaugurating National Public Service Day 2018 and conferring Public Administration Award 2018 at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium.

She joined the programme virtually from her official residence Gono Bhaban.

The prime minister said Bangladesh will produce vaccines in the future.

She said the government has started procuring and administering vaccines. "We have to ensure vaccines so that all can be protected. InshAllah, we'll eliminate coronavirus."

Hasina said the pandemic has caused immense problems for every sector, including the economy and education.

She urged all to follow the health guidelines strictly and asked field-level administration to make people better aware about it.

The prime minister said 1.87 crore people have so far been vaccinated and all will be brought under the vaccination programme.

"No one will be left out… we're procuring vaccines for all. Our vaccination programme will go on," she said.
