Upward trend on: 15 Covid deaths, 15,807 cases in 24 hours

At least 15,807 new infections were recorded and 15 people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The current positivity rate is 31.98 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.19 percent.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 28,288 and the mortality rate stands at 1.62 percent. Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 17,47,331, added the release.

A total of 49,425 samples were tested across the country in 24 hours.

At least 1,037 patients have recovered from Covid-19 during this period.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 15,61,043 and the recovery rate at 89.34 percent, added the release.

Of the 15 deceased, five were males and 10 were females.

Of them, one was between 11-20 years old, one between 21-30, between 31-40, two were within 41-50, four were between 51-60, three within 61-70, two were between 71-80, and one was within 91-100 years old, added the release.
