No Covid-19 death for 28 days straight

No Covid-19 deaths were reported for the 28th consecutive day, while 22 new infections were recorded in 24 hours till 8am today.
The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country remains at 29,127 and the mortality rate is 1.49 percent, , said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of cases rose to 19,53,103, added the release.
The current positivity rate is 0.88 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.89 percent, said the press release.
A total of 5,001 samples were tested across the country during this time.
At least 241 patients recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,00,138 and the recovery rate at 97.29 percent, added the release.
