Covid-19: 304 cases recorded in 24 hours, current positivity rate 5.94%

At least 304 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

However, no Covid-19 death has been reported for the 18th consecutive day.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country remains at 29,131 and the death rate is 1.49 percent.

The current positivity rate is 5.94 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.76 percent.

Meanwhile, with the new infections the total number of cases rose to 19,55,731, added the release.

A total of 5,122 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 47 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,05,758 and the recovery rate at 97.44 percent, added the release.
