3 Covid-19 deaths recorded in 24 hours, positivity rate 1.41%

Three people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 27,973 and the mortality rate stands at 1.78 percent.

At least 239 new infections were recorded during the period, taking the total number of people infected to 15,75,424, added the release.

The current positivity rate is 1.41 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.56 percent.

A total of 16,916 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours.

At least  277 Covid-19 patients have recovered during the period.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 15,39,830 and the recovery rate at 97.74 percent.

Among the three deceased, one was a man and two were women. Of them, one was between 11-20 years old, one between 41-50 and one between 51-60, added the release.
