2 Covid-19 deaths in 24 hours, current positivity rate 12.96%

Two people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00am today (September 25, 2022), said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 is currently 29,353 in the country and the death rate stands at 1.45 percent.

At least 572 new coronavirus cases were recorded during this period.

The daily positivity rate is 12.96 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.61 percent.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,21,690, the release added.

A total of 4,413 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 358 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,62,872 and the recovery rate at 97.09 percent, said the release.

Of the deceased, one was male and one was female. They were between 61-90 years old, added the release.
