2 Covid-19 deaths reported in 24hrs, positivity rate now 8.87%

Two people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00 am today (September 11, 2022), said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The daily positivity rate is 8.87 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.62 percent.

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 is currently 29,334 in the country and the death rate stands at 1.46 percent.

At least 310 new coronavirus cases were recorded during this period.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,14,887, the release added.

A total of 3,493 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 192 Covid-19 patients have recovered within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,58,746 and the recovery rate at 97.21 percent, said the release.

Both the deceased were a male -- aged between 60-70 years old, added the release.
