15 die of Covid-19 in Rangpur division in 24 hours

Fifteen people died of Covid-19 in Rangpur division in 24 hours (till 8am today).

During this period, at least 202 new Covid-19 cases were recorded. The current positivity rate stands at 23.27 percent, our correspondent reports quoting Rangpur Divisional Health Director (Acting) Abu Zakirul Islam.

Among the deceased, five died at Thakurgaon, two in Dinajpur, three in Kurigram, three in Nilphamari, one in Rangpur, and one in Panchagarh, the director said.

So far in this month, 257 people died of Covid-19 in Rangpur division, said the director, adding that the number of deaths increased over the previous day, but the number of new cases decreased.
