14 die of Covid-19, symptoms in Barishal division in a day

Eight people died of Covid-19 and six with Covid-like symptoms in Barishal division in 24 hours (till 8 am today).

During this period, 687 people got tested, and 322 were found positive for the virus. The current positivity rate stands at 46.87 percent, our correspondent reports, quoting Shyamal Krishna Mandal, assistant director of Barishal Divisional Health Office.

Shyamal Krishna said, in the division so far, 469 patients have died of Covid-19.

Some 33,144 active patients have been identified in the division so far and 18,959 of them have recovered, the assistant director added.
