1 Covid-19 death, 355 cases recorded in 24 hours

One person died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country is currently 29,285 and the death rate stands at 1.46 percent.

At least 355 new Covid-19 cases were recorded during this period.

The daily positivity rate is 5.84 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.73 percent.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,04,543, added the release.

A total of 6,083 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 696 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,40,779 and the recovery rate at 96.82 percent, said the release.

The deceased was a man and aged between 31-40 years old, added the release.
