1 Covid-19 death in 24 hours, positivity rate 0.83%

One person died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 in the country is currently 29,438 and the death rate stands at 1.45 percent.

At least 14 new coronavirus cases were reported during this period.

The daily positivity rate is 0.83percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.45 percent.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,36,911, the release added.

A total of 1,695 samples were tested across the country during this period. Meanwhile, at least 60 Covid-19 patients recovered within this time.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,86,730 and the recovery rate is 97.54 percent, said the release.
