Apollo Hospitals celebrates World Kidney Day

Apollo Hospitals in the capital Dhaka arranged various awareness programmes in collaboration with East West University and Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Limited in order to celebrate World Kidney Day on March 9, 2017.

The theme of this year's World Kidney day was 'Kidney Disease and Obesity", according to a press release issued by the Apollo Hospitals.

The program in collaboration with East West university was held on the campus where doctors of the hospital and teachers of the university shared their thoughts.

Students were checked for blood sugar and blood pressure for free and were advised by the dietician of the hospital, the press release adds.

Apollo arranged two more sessions in collaboration with Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Limited at Gulshan Joggers' Club Park in Dhaka on World Kidney Day.

A rally was held in the first session followed by free health check-up.

And the second session in the afternoon arranged for the patients to listen to Nephrologists, Urologists and Dietician of Apollo Hospitals Dhaka talk about kidney disease management and prevention.

Senior staff of the hospital were present in both the sessions.
