Hanging bodies of 2 siblings found in Uttara

Police recovered the hanging bodies of two siblings from their Uttara house in Dhaka in the wee hours today.

The deceased are Munmun, 18, and her brother Mohammad bin Alim, 15.

Informed by victims’ mother Jaysree Zaman, police recovered the bodies from two separate rooms of their house in Garib-e- Newaj Avenue area of Uttara-11 around midnight, said Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Uttara West Police Station.

The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital this morning.

Alim and Munmun might have committed suicide as the relationship between their parents was not good, the OC said.
