Govt is run like Hitler: Ershad

Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad today lambasted Sheikh Hasina government saying there is no democracy in the country at present as the administration is running the country like Hitler and Mussolini.    

“People are being killed everyday, dead bodies are floating in rivers. But the government is blaming others behind such killings,” Ershad, also special envoy to the premier said while addressing at a meeting in the city.   

Jatiya Jubo Sanghati organized the meeting at city’s Diploma Engineers Institute auditorium.  

Ershad said no one has constitutional rights at present in the country. “Where are democracy and the constitution? Democracy is just prevailing in lips,” he said adding that “People cannot leave in peace at night.”   

Pointing to Khaleda Zia’s claim that Ershad was the murder of Ziaur Rahman, the JP boss lambasted the BNP chief saying why she did not raise the issue when she was in power. “I know who killed Zia who has stayed beside his room at Chittagong Circuit House [during he was assassinated on May 30, 1981].”
