Govt in propaganda against ‘people’s movement’: BNP

The government has launched propaganda against the ongoing agitation describing it as a movement of the terrorists and militants, BNP alleged today.

"The illegal government has started the propaganda to brand the ongoing people’s movement as a terrorist and militant movement," the party said in a statement this evening.

The statement issued by BNP Joint Secretary General Salahuddin Ahmed claimed that the party has already placed information about the involvement of the ruling party men in the petrol bombs attacks.

Issuing a note of warning to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the BNP leader said she should analyse the pathetic consequences of her father and take lesson from the history.

He urged the premier to take steps to stop the ongoing “mass killing” in the country.

Addressing the PM, Salahuddin also said people will consider her safe exit if she resigns immediately, paving the way for an inclusive national election under a non-party administration.
