Expressing dissatisfaction over the postponement of the verdict in a war crimes case against Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Motiur Rahman Nizami, Gonojagoron Mancha spokesperson Imran H Sarker said Jamaat is hatching conspiracy to foil the war crimes trials.

Sarker also expressed his doubt over the government’s role in delaying the verdict.

“Yesterday, there was no reaction from Jamaat over the fixing of date for Nizami's verdict, which indicates that the government has negotiated with the party,” he claimed.

Sarker was talking to reporters at Shahbagh intersection in the capital where they gathered ahead of the verdict scheduled for today.

Conflicts between the prosecutors of the international crimes tribunal have been delaying the procedure in the war crimes trial, which might be a part of the conspiracy, Sarker added.

The mancha activists will bring out a procession from Shahbagh intersection in the evening protesting the postponement of Nizami verdict.
