BBPL to resume today

After a day’s break, the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BBPL) resumes today at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram and hosts Chattogram Challengers will be looking to consolidate their place at the top of the table in the evening match against Cumilla Warriors.

Before that, in the day match, Mushfiqur Rahim’s second-placed Khulna Tigers will take on Rangpur Rangers, who are currently languishing at the bottom of the table, having lost all their three matches so far.

The Chattogram leg of the BBPL has so far lived up to its billing as being the most run-filled phase of the tournament and the teams will be looking to continue that trend today. The home side had notched the biggest total of this edition on Wednesday, scoring 221 for five and winning the match against Dhaka Platoon by 16 runs.

The Challengers currently have eight by virtue of their four wins from five games.

The day match will start from 2:00pm and the evening clash will begin from 7:00pm
