Bangladesh PM Hasina terms drama the attack on BNP leader Khaleda Zia’s motorcade

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday blamed her archrival Khaleda Zia for staging a drama centering the local body elections scheduled for April 28.

“Khaleda Zia is staging drama ahead of the local body polls. She should stop such activities for the sake of a free, fair and transparent election,” Ashif Kabir, assistant press secretary to the PM, told The Daily Star quoting the PM as saying.

The prime minister came up with the allegation during the parliamentary party meeting of Awami League held at her Gono Bhaban office hours after an attack on the motorcade of the BNP chief at Kawranbazar in Dhaka this evening.
