Fraud gang busted in capital

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) early today arrested two members of a fraud gang at Kalabagan in the capital.  
The arrestees are Sabbir Hossain Jony, 24, and his cohort Raju Ahmed, 24.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-2 members raided a house in Free School Street area around 1:00am.
The Rab members seized a fake gun, 10 mobile phone sets, 19 Yaba tablets, and Tk 6,000 in cash from their possession, said Raihan Uddin Khan, operation officer of Rab-2.  
The gang used to extort money from different persons by forcing them to pose for indecent photographs, he said.   The law enforcers will brief the media over the arrests at Rab-2 headquarters at 5:00pm, the officer added.
