Fake FF certificates of 31 more officials cancelled

The liberation war affairs ministry has cancelled the fake provisional freedom fighter certificates of another 31 government officials as well as the gazette notifications about their freedom fighter status.

The ministry issued a notification in this regard today, saying the provisional freedom fighter certificates and the gazette notifications of 29 out of the 31 government officials have been cancelled upon recommendation by the National Security Intelligence (NSI) based on their field investigations.

The provisional freedom fighter certificates and gazette notifications of two other government officials were cancelled following the recommendations by the liberation war affairs minister and that of a deputy commissioner separately.

According to the gazette, it was proved that those officials who have taken temporary certificates from the ministry are not real freedom fighters.

Earlier on July 21, the ministry cancelled the fake freedom fighter certificates of 35 people, including government officials.

The certificates were cancelled as they could not prove themselves as freedom fighters.

Of the 35 people, 28 are government officials, including deputy secretaries.

Of them, 30 fake certificates were cancelled on the basis of investigation by the NSI while two others were canalled based on the report of deputy commissioner, another two for not having proper age and another one for mentioning double addresses.
