Cox's Bazar Forest Department reclaims four acres of land from grabbers

A team of Cox's Bazar (north) divisional forest department has reclaimed four acres of land from grabbers by demolishing dozens of makeshift structures at Fulchari range of the division.

The drive began at 6:30 am today and went on for an hour.

Sohel Rana, assistant conservator of forest of Cox's Bazar (north) divisional forest office told The Daily Star that the reclaimed land was part of a 2018-2019 short term plantation under Fulchari beat.

"We have evicted dozens of makeshift structures reclaiming four acres of forest land," Rana said.

Majharul Islam and Sayed Abu Zakaria, two range officers of Cox's Bazar North Divisional Forest Office, also took part in the drive.
