Injured barking deer rescued

An injured barking deer was rescued at Fatabil of Chunarughat upazila in Habiganj yesterday morning.

A couple rescued the dear after it fell in a pond. "The deer is aged around 6-7. There are injury marks on its body and it cannot stand properly," said Forest Officer Mazharul Islam. "We will release the deer once it recovers," he added.

The deer came to the locality from Rema-Kalenga sanctuary. As some people tried to catch it,  it ran away and fell in a pond of a local mosque.
