Five cubs of endangered wild cat species have been rescued from Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia.

Two of them were released in the forest yesterday, reports our local correspondent.
Three others will be released after a few days as they are too small to be left on their own, sources at Kushtia Forest Department said.

Bangladesh Biodiversity Conservation Federation (BBCF) staff along with forest department officials released the cubs.

Sources said that on the night of January 8, locals spotted the cubs at Shalghar Madhua village in Bashgram area and caught them. Later, BBCF rescued them.
