CNG filling stations to close 5pm-11pm daily from Sept 15

CNG filling stations will be closed between 5pm and 11pm every day from September 15.

The decision has been taken to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to power plants, Mir Mohammad Aslam Uddin, public relations officer of the energy ministry, told the Daily Star.

CNG filling stations will remain closed during peak hours of electricity supply, according to a circular of Ministry for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources.

The authorities concerned have been asked to circulate the information through advertisement in at least three newspapers, the release said.
