Another earthquake jolts Chattogram

Another earthquake has been felt in Chattogram this afternoon, a day after a strong earthquake jolted Dhaka, Chattogram and some other cities yesterday.

The tremor was felt at 3:47pm today.

The magnitude of the earthquake was 4.2 in the Richter scale, said Jahirul Islam, forecasting officer of Patenga Met Office.

The centre of the earthquake was Myanmar-India Border, around 318km southeast off the Bangladesh Meteorological Department's Seismic Centre at Agargaon in Dhaka, he said.

The earthquake was felt in Chattogram at 3:47pm today, he said, adding, the category of the earthquake was light.
