Zahid Hasan set to make his web series debut

Zahid Hasan is set to make his web series debut with director Shaheen Shumon's "Mafia".

"It is a pleasure to be a part of this series. I am playing the character of Nani bhai.  The audience has not seen me in a role like this before," expresses the actor.

"Mafia", a 150-episode series, is a love story, set in the world of criminals. Filming of the series has begun in Dhaka. 

"As an actor, it is my job to work across all mediums. Many of my colleagues have already made their mark on OTT platforms, whereas, I took my own time. As they say, better late than never!" says Zahid Hasan. "I want roles that will touch people's hearts, and are artistically enriching."

Zahid Hasan is also a prolific television director, with multiple successful tele-fictions to his name. At one point, he acted in stage plays regularly, before making his way into television and films. "Bichhoo" is one of his most acclaimed plays till date. The actor has won three National Film Awards.

He is currently in talks to star in a new film.
