Two arrested in 'Shurongo' piracy case

Raihan Rafi's "Shurongo" became a victim of piracy as the film was leaked on movie-related platforms. 

Five individuals were identified with the piracy, two of whom were arrested yesterday. The perpetrators are- Ikramul Kabir (private service holder) and Mohammad Monirul Sheikh (businessman). 

Ikramul Kabir was taken from Mirpur while Monirul was arrested from Gazipur. A case has been filed against them under the Copyright and Cybercrime Act at Banani Police Station. Although both of them were not directly involved in pirating the film. They have spread the link on social media. One of the arrestees is a huge fan of a Bangladeshi super star. Both of them have shared the pirated link on their social media account. 

On Thursday, The "Shurongo" team, which included Raihan Rafi, Afran Nisho, Tama Mirza, and "Priyotoma" producer Arshad Adnan, went to DIG Harun Or Rashid's office to seek legal help for their film's infringement.
